I drove a BMW X4 2.0d and a 320d GT. I must report these cars have no steering feel at all. I thought everyone was exaggerating but I was clearly very wrong. Like... its fucking worse than my Kia and my kia already feels like a remote control car!
The steering feel is as good as a cheap condom, feels just as secure.
I also offroaded said X4. 4 wheel drifts are best drifts, But I didn’t take any pictures.

So in other words, it’s that rental Dodge Avenger my dad had to put up with, except with a good interior.

Also better fuel economy. But yeah.. basically that.
Also, most are manual.. which is sort of amazing.

If you think current bmw's are bad, drive a Mercedes. The GLE feels like a 15 yr old Logitech wheel. I hope car companies can evolve EPS to provide better feedback eventually.

Its not the EPS. The Toyobarus are ok with EPS, and Mazda has a good track record with EPS.
Its the weight and suspension geometry. They are sacrificing the feel for tighter packaging and 'ride quality.'

I think Porsche pretty much figured it out. Maybe they can license the tech ? Alfa also gets pretty good marks in the feel dept. if I recall correctly.
